Chiropractic or Acupuncture

Chiropuncture

Many patients often ask “which treatment will help me more – Chiropractic or Acupuncture”. Well, why not do both!

At Balanced Life Health Care we have developed Chiropuncture!

Personally we have found that combining Chiropractic & Acupuncture therapies works remarkedly well, giving patients exclusive and additional benefits. In many cases, especially those that have been previously difficult and more complicated to treat, the use of chiropractic care and acupuncture together may be the most efficient treatment method with the fastest results! The two remedies approach the condition from multiple angles, so that you can feel better sooner.

While they have different origins and are administered through very different techniques, Chiropractic adjustments and Acupuncture are both excellent complementary treatments for improving and maintaining your health. At Balanced Life Health Care we offer both modalities to treat a variety of symptoms.

Both Chiropractic and Acupuncture work in ways that empower the body to heal without the use of drugs, surgery or invasive treatment. Both are also designed to correct imbalances, prompt natural healing and restore a state of health that was formerly impeded. Each treatment accomplishes this in its own unique way.

Chiropractic treatment is most commonly administered using targeted manual adjustments throughout the spine or other joints to correct subluxations or obstructions that are based within the nervous system. In addition to the primary technique of the adjustment, mobilization, stretching, soft tissue therapies and physical therapeutics are also used to give the body the best chance of healing quickly and correctly.

Just as the hands are used to adjust the spine, Acupuncture, uses a very thin needle to manipulate precise channel points on the body. This method removes any blockages that interfere with the body’s internal balance, causing the nervous system to release healing and pain-relieving chemicals into brain, spinal cord and muscles and relieves the potency of pain signals, loosens the muscles and stimulates blood flow to quicken healing.

The combination of Chiropractic therapy and Acupuncture is a powerful remedial treatment that soothes out tension and stress and reinvigorates the body’s mechanisms, including immune function. When they are properly combined, Chiropractic and Acupuncture treatments can effectively correct imbalances, boost natural healing, improve flexibility and energy levels, and restore the body to its prior state of health, resulting in a hastening in recovery time, while simultaneously taking care of the patient’s overall body health and wellness and regulating the functioning of the nervous system from the inside out. Considering that all body processes are regulated and controlled by the nervous system, they effectively help to ensure better general health.

So how does it work together??? A classic example is for patients seeing a Chiropractor for underlying Postural problems. Undergoing a course of Chiropractic treatment to correct this can often present underlying discomfort to the patient as their body adapts to the correct position and alignment. This is where Acupuncture can play a part. Acupuncture can help decrease the patients discomfort as they undergo their Chiropractic care until their body settles.

Based on your wellness goals, Balanced Life Health Care can work together with you, to determine if a combination of Chiropractic and Acupuncture would be a successful treatment program you!
